Lilium michiganense - Michigan Lily
Growing Michigan Lily can be a lesson in patience. This plant can take 3-5 years to bloom, typically bulbs must be at least 3/4 inch in size before the plant will bloom. It is well worth the wait however! Its large and showy flowers are orang with red-brown spots. These flowers are a favourite of both Ruby-Throated Hummingbirds, Swallowtail Butterflies and Monarch Butterflies!
